Article summary
Using Viber’s July 2026 announcement, separate ChatGPT features, registration/activity observations and bot detection; number checking returns no human-or-AI label.
ChatGPT inside Viber does not add “human,” “bot” or “used AI” fields to Viber number checking. AI in the app is a product capability a user invokes. Registration and Activity checks are defined platform observations. They relate to the same app but are not the same data interface.
What Viber officially announced
In its July 7, 2026 announcement, Viber describes using ChatGPT in a dedicated conversation or by mentioning it in chats, with question answering, image remix, chat/link summaries, message polishing and translation. The post also says the features are invoked on demand and explains related privacy handling.
Three completely different questions
| Question | Appropriate source | Can Viber checking answer? |
|---|---|---|
| Did a phone return Viber registration? | Viber Registration | Yes |
| What account activity was observed? | Viber Activity | Within its schema |
| Is the other side human, automated or using AI? | Dedicated risk and behavioral evidence | No |
Registration returns platform state only
AIPUSH Viber Registration exports phone and registration result. A registered account may be used by an individual, managed by a business team or employ allowed automation. Registration state alone cannot classify the operator.
Activity is not a bot detector
Viber Activity fields are phone, active days, mid and user offline time. Frequent activity may come from normal support, while bursty messages may be an event notice. Low activity may simply mean occasional use. Rhythm without content, context and rule evidence cannot prove identity.
An AI capability cannot become a phone label
The official announcement describes what users can do. It does not say a third party can inspect whether a phone used ChatGPT, what it asked or what content was created. Feature availability is not data availability. If a field is absent from the checking schema, do not infer it.
Signals required for genuine automation risk work
| Signal | Value | Limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Rate and repetition pattern | Finds unusual rhythm | May flag support teams |
| Account/device events | Locates security anomalies | Usually platform-held |
| User reports | Interaction evidence | Needs human review |
| Declared bot authorization | Confirms known automation | Does not cover unknown behavior |
How an enterprise avoids misclassification
Create separate registration_observed, activity_observed and automation_risk fields. A risk label needs a rule, evidence, time and review; it is never generated automatically from number-checking output. High-impact actions need human review and an appeal path.
The TXT and privacy boundary
The AIPUSH TXT contains one phone per line and no chat text, AI prompt, report, customer name or risk label. Excel returns only task fields and rejoins records inside staging. Do not enlarge the upload in an attempt to “detect AI.”
Practical meaning for marketing
ChatGPT can change the Viber user experience, but it does not alter marketing permission. Continue to check source, purpose, opt-out and frequency before contact, and do not advertise a “human-only list.” A narrow claim that can be explained is more credible than imaginary AI detection.
The short conclusion
ChatGPT in Viber is a client feature update. Viber number checking still returns only the registration or activity observations defined for each task. It cannot distinguish humans from bots or reveal whether a user invoked AI.
